BRO Experience Featured in Epicenter NYC!
We’re deeply honored to be spotlighted in Epicenter NYC’s Small Biz Spotlight in an article by Ambar Castillo, “The former barber building a safe space for young men of color.”
The piece highlights how our founder, Barry “Coach Coop” Cooper, drew from his own journey — from barbering in Bed-Stuy to leading a community-centered nonprofit — to create safe spaces where Black and Latino boys and young men can build emotional literacy, resilience, and authentic connection. It also showcases the heart of The B.R.O. Experience’s work: blending mentorship, cognitive behavioral tools, hip-hop, and peer support to help young men thrive beyond trauma and stereotypes.
Thank you, Epicenter NYC, for telling our story and helping to amplify the importance of emotional wellness, community care, and spaces of belonging for young people. We’re grateful for your support and your thoughtful coverage.
